More about me.
Those who know me, know of my love of music. I have a very, very eclectic taste, and listen to just about anything. From Blues (Jack Johnson, Jonny Lang to name a couple) to Punk (Less Than Jake, Bowling For Soup, Me First & the Gimme Gimmes, Bastards of Melody, The Offspring and I could go on and on) with interjections of Rock, Metal (especially heavy stuff, like Metallica, System Of A Down, Korn, Coal Chamber, Machinehead, HIM, etc...) Classical Music, Techno, House and RnBNow, there is quite a large collection of musicians in Gibraltar, and a pretty successful live music society which organises events and gigs all year round, and has recently really begun to take off, presenting awards (such as best live music event) keeping a well maintained list of upcoming events etc.
One band that played recently, really do deserve some credit, and a mention. Se7en Sins (currently still under construction, and designed by a friend of mine ( her blog here)) have been around in Gibraltar for quite a while, though be it using different names (originally Fragile, then ReBorn) and have always been a favourite of mine. They are a slightly heavier band than we normally see round Gib, and have just released a demo album called Under the Influence. They promo'd it on Thursday night, and to say it was a success would be an understatement, this band has taken Gibraltar by storm in recent months, and, with some more hard work, there is no reason why they won't get into the metal charts worldwide.Since the band started it's reshuffle, renaming, etc, they have refused to play covers, comprising their perfomances purely out of original material, and have still managed to hold and captivate a wide audience. No other band in my memory have done that when they are first starting out in Gib, and would even lose popularity if they did, not so with Se7en Sins.
So, from the comments on the last page, Siobhan (pronounced Shi-vaughn, but let's not get into that, in fact, lets just call her Shiv) has come out of hiding ;) She would be responsible for my current contentment, which is obviously being noticed by those close to me, take this for example:
[15:47:14] Very Close Friend: drunken lunches are good
[15:47:58] Andy: brilliant
[15:48:19] Very Close Friend: do you know whats nice about you
[15:48:35] Andy: my ability to hide drunkeness?
[15:48:53] Very Close Friend: well that obviously. but no, i was gonna say how happy you've been recently
[15:49:18] Very Close Friend: its very nice
[15:49:21] Andy: well, you know who to speak to about that
[15:49:25] Very Close Friend: i do
Obviously, her name has been changed, as I wouldn't want to annoy anyone, but when a friend I havent seen in ages, who lives in Dublin, notices how much I am changing, things have to be looking up... ohh, and I havent had a migraine since mid February, I aint tempting fate, I'm bloody extatic about it!
Right, I think I've blurted enough shit for one day, off training tonight, so I will let you know how that goes in the morrow, for now, I'm glad Shiv's introduced herself, though not too formally :)
Bye for now!

Always been a big rugby fan... really glad I took it back up again. Training again this evening, all is well. :) No issues with my nuts though, thankfully, though they did get landed on at one point on Sunday :s

You should try and keep the nut landings to a minimum.
